Plan Summary
The Plan is a simple way to benefit from some of the performance of the FTSE 100 Index (the Index) during an agreed term while ensuring that capital will be repaid at the end. If you sell before then you might not get back the amount you invested. Three separate investment options are available to investors. You can choose one or more of the investment options. Whatever your selection, your investment is designed to be held until the maturity of your chosen investment option. The Plan is designed to give you: 100% of your original capital back at maturity Plus Three-year Option: 1.5 times the rise in FTSE 100 Index at the maturity date limited to a maximum return of 22.5%. Therefore, if the Index rises by 15% or more from the starting level (Initial Index Level) investors will receive the maximum return Five-year Option: 1.5 times the rise in FTSE 100 Index at the maturity date limited to a maximum return of 51%. Therefore, if the Index rises by 34% or more from the Initial Index Level, investors will receive the maximum return. Early Maturity Option: A return of 22.5% after two-and-a-half years if the FTSE 100 Index is 22.5% or more above the Initial Index Level. If it has not risen to this level, the Plan will continue for five years. The return will then be equal to 1.5 times the percentage rise, if any, in the Index over the five-year term, though this is limited to a maximum return of 51%. Essentially, if the Plan does not mature early, any payoffs will be the same as the Five-year Option's payoffs. Please note that the Early Maturity Option is designed as a five-year Plan with the potential of maturing early after two-and-a-half years. The final index level which determines the return payable is averaged. This will affect the level of return see page 7 of the brochure for an explanation. |
