Investment Risks
• The Plan aims to provide the potential for capital growth plus
capital repayment at maturity that is dependent on the performance
of the FTSE™ 100 Index. The ability to provide this growth is
achieved by exposing your capital to risk. On maturity you may not
receive back the original capital invested. If the Closing Level of
the FTSE™ 100 Index on any Business Day is less than 50% of the
corresponding Start Index Level from 9 June 2008 up to and including
9 June 2014 it is likely to lead to the decrease of an Investor’s
initial capital investment.
• You will not receive 100% of your original investment at maturity
if the FTSE™ 100 Index falls by more than 50% from its Start Index
Level at any time during the Investment Period and the Index does
not return to at least its Start Index Level by the Final Index
Level date. In this instance the capital will be reduced by 1% for
each 1% that the Final Index Level is below the Start Index Level.
• Where the difference results in a fraction of 1%, the fraction
will be applied. For example, if the Final Index Level is 55.5%
below the Start Index Level then your capital repayment would be
reduced by 55.5% leaving 44.5% of the original investment being
returned.
• Any returns generated by the Plan does not include any allowance
for dividends paid by the companies which comprise the FTSE™ 100
Index.
• There is a risk that the Issuer may fail to meet its obligations.
In addition, the terms of the investment may permit the issuer of
those investments to withhold, defer, reduce or even terminate
payments in certain events, as a result of which investors may
receive less than they would otherwise or may have to wait for the
proceeds.
• Your circumstances could change, forcing you to sell your Plan
investments early. If this happens, you may get back less than the
amount you originally invested. The value of the Plan will be
determined by the price at which the Investments can actually be
sold on the relevant Dealing Date.
• Tax assumptions are based on Keydata's understanding of current
legislation and practice at the time of print. The levels and basis
of taxation and reliefs from taxation can change at any time and any
change could be applied retrospectively. The value of any tax relief
depends on individual circumstances. For tax advice, potential
investors should consult their professional advisers.
• Past performance IS NOT necessarily a guide to future performance
and should not be used to assess the risks associated with this
investment.
• The All-Weather Kick-out is not the same as a bank or building
society account where capital is guaranteed and, with instant access
accounts, is readily available without penalty.
• Careful consideration should be given to the benefits and risks of
this Plan and its suitability to your own personal circumstances and
attitude to risk. We would recommend that you take professional
advice before investing.
• The effect of inflation will reduce the real value of any kick-out
payments and the capital returned at the end of the term.
• Before deciding to invest, you should read the FSA ‘Capital At
Risk’ document, a copy of which is included in the product brochure.
Please refer to the Brochure and the Terms & Conditions for full
details.
